Central campus NSO a success

Students and parents attended daily morning welcome sessions in
the multipurpose room of the Trabant University Center during New
Student Orientation, conducted from June 25-July 25.
More than 90 percent of the 8,500 invited incoming students and
their parents participated in the programs, which provided information
to help incoming freshmen and transfer students prepare for the fall
semester.
For the first time, the annual program was held on the central
campus.
In addition to the Trabant University Center, programs were
conducted in the Willard Hall Education Building and Raub, Elliott,
McDowell, Mechanical and Sypherd halls.
According to Linda Hardin, admissions, "The general consensus of
those who work with the New Student Orientation and of the students
and their parents is that our move to central campus has been a very
good one. Our plan is to be on central campus next summer, with some
minor fine tuning."
