PBL sessions held in June
Approximately 125 participants from all parts of the United
States and Canada, Great Britain, Australia and South America attended
the fifth national annual conference on Problem-Based Learning in
Undergraduate Science Education in June at Clayton Hall.
According to conference coordinator Barbara Duch, Center for
Teaching Effectiveness, the event featured speakers, roundtable
discussions and workshops about using PBL in biology, biochemistry,
chemistry, physics and other disciplines.
"It is clear that the University of Delaware is a leader in
effectively introducing problem-based learning into undergraduate
science education," she said.
