Campus dining options to grow

New dining options will come with the start of the fall semester,
joining the numerous options currently available on campus, including
those at the expansive food court of the new Trabant University
Center.
New options this fall will include:
        * the Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management (HRIM)
dining room, located on the second level of the Trabant
University Center, which will serve a luncheon buffet each
day and fine dining three nights a week, and
        * expanded hours for the Tavern, located on the lower level of
the Blue & Gold Club, which will be open from 11:30 a.m. to
1:30 p.m., featuring soup, salad and sandwiches.

The Blue & Gold Club, a members-only establishment with an
elegant atmosphere, recently reduced its fee to $10 per year for
permanent faculty and staff members.
At the same time, a decision has been made to permanently close
the Faculty Dining Room, which was originally closed this spring in
connection with the renovation of the Perkins Student Center.
"A declining number of regular patrons, coupled with the
increasing number of dining options elsewhere on campus, led to the
decision," according to Duane Clark, Dining Services.
The University Center's food court features such national brands
as Chick-Fil-A, Taco Bell, Starbucks and Baskin Robbins, along with
campus mainstays like Itza Pizza, Deli Corner and the Star Spangled
Cafe.
The Scrounge, the Roundhouse, Walter's Cafe and other campus
locations remain open, Clark said.
Faculty and staff can use their Flex Dollars or cash at dining
locations, including the four dining halls on the Newark campus.
For more information on how to open a Flex account, call 831-
4033, or e-mail Lisa.Tomlinson@mvs.udel.edu. Payroll deduction is
available.
