Street closing
     To accommodate construction activities related to renovation of
Purnell Hall and construction of the new MBNA America Hall, Orchard
Road-between Delaware Avenue and Amstel Avenue-will be closed to
vehicle and pedestrian traffic through Aug. 16.
     Pedestrian traffic will be detoured through the plaza near
Purnell, Ewing, Kirkbride and Smith halls.
     Purnell Hall must be accessed through the east entrance.


Shifting traffic
     For a street improvement project along Academy Street from
Delaware Avenue to Lovett Avenue, the city will be removing the
parking meters and shifting traffic toward Pearson Hall. There will be
no parking on the east side of Academy Street until the conclusion of
this project.
     Traffic flow in and out of the Spencer Laboratory area also will
be affected. The city will replace a portion of the curb and sidewalk,
and traffic will be reduced to one lane. Academy Street also will be
repaved.
     Later, the University will replace sidewalks along Academy
Street, where needed.

Library hours
     The Morris Library will be open Friday, July 5, from 8 a.m.-5
p.m., and will offer extended examination hours from 1-7 p.m.,
Saturday, July 6.
     During Delaware Preview Days, Saturday, July 13, 20 and 27, the
library will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
