Tuition increases set; UD 'education bargain'

The 1996-97 tuition for full-time undergraduate and graduate
students at the University has been raised by 3.4 percent for
Delawareans and 4.8 percent for non-residents.
The new annual tuition rates are $3,990 for Delawareans, up $130
over last year and $11,250 for non-residents, up $520.
"In both in-state and out-of-state tuition," University President
David P. Roselle said, "we have been able to reduce the dollar amount
and percentage of increases when compared to last year. At the same
time, we continue our commitment to provide the highest possible
quality of service to our students and their families," he said. "The
University of Delaware remains one of the best education bargains in
the region, and that fact is increasingly being recognized and noted
by others."
Full-time graduate tuition is the same as that for
undergraduates, with the exception of those pursuing the master of
business administration (MBA) degree.
New full-time MBA tuition is $5,020 for Delaware residents, an
increase of 3.4 percent ($164), and $11,250 for non-residents, an
increase of 4.8 percent ($520).
