Family affair

     When the Haas/Lynch family gets together, it could be an alumni
chapter meeting. This year's alumna, Kristen Haas, majored in apparel
design. Her mother, Patricia Lynch Haas (right), a 1970 nursing
graduate, currently serves as assistant director of nursing at the
Student Health Center. Her father, Theodore A. Haas (seated),
graduated in 1971 in plant science and works for the University of
Maryland extension service as an agronomy specialist for the Eastern
Shore. Her grandmother, Jane Kenney Lynch (left), was a graduate in
home economics in 1940.
     Other family alumni include her aunts, Sandra Lynch Hayden,
Delaware '81, and Carla Haas Spadaro, Delaware '66, and uncle T.
Gregory Lynch, Delaware '76 '89M, a program specialist in Continuing
Education. Coming up is younger sister Gretchen (center, standing),
who is enrolled in the College of Education.
