Faculty borrowing privileges

The University of Delaware Library participates in the Reciprocal
Faculty Borrowing Program, which enables faculty members of
participating institutions to have library borrowing privileges and on-
site access to the collections of some of the most important research
libraries in North America.
The purpose of the program is to promote and facilitate scholarly
research and communication among members of the faculties of
participating institutions.
The Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program is sponsored by the
University of Delaware, along with other members of the Association of
Research Libraries that are on line to the Online Computer Library
Center (OCLC) in Dublin, Ohio.
A brochure about the program, with a list of participating
institutions, is available. Materials may be used on the premises of
the owning library or may be borrowed, depending on the policies of
the lending library.
Faculty interested in the program should contact Joan McManus,
Room 210, Morris Library, telephone 831-2231, or via e-mail at
Joan.McManus@mvs.udel.edu.
Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Cards are issued for period of one
year, are not transferable and are available only to full-time UD
faculty.
