AWARDS
Roberta F. Colman, chemistry and biochemistry, received the 1966
Herbert A. Sober Award, presented by the American Society for
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in recognition of outstanding
contributions to the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology
and advances in methodology. Colman presented the Sober Memorial
Lecture, "Chemical Arrows for Enzymatic Targets," June 4, in New
Orleans.
John A. Madsen, geology, was presented the John H. Moss Award in
recognition of his outstanding teaching in geology and earth
sciences at the college/university level by the National
Association of Geology Teachers, Eastern section, May 25.
Linda S. Gottfredson, educational studies, was inducted into
Johns Hopkins University's Society of Scholars for "marked
distinction" in her field.
