Trustees salute Coach Raymond

     At its meeting May 21, the Board of Trustees saluted Coach Harold
R. "Tubby" Raymond on his 30th season as head coach of the UD football
team.
     Raymond has achieved a record of 250 wins, 97 losses and 3 ties,
for a winning percentage of .720. During his UD career, he has been
selected a NCAA Coach of the Year seven times, including 1995, and the
1995 season marked the 10th time in UD history that the team reached
the 10-win total for a season, nine of those times under his
leadership.
     The resolution congratulated Raymond "on his most recent
accomplishments and well-deserved honors" and offered "on behalf of
all University of Delaware football fans, sincere thanks for the
standard of excellence he has maintained throughout his career and for
his lifetime of commitment to Delaware football."
