Renovations under way

Preparation for renovations to the Perkins Student Center have
begun, according to Chris Miller, project coordinator in Facilities
Management and Construction.
Campus radio station WVUD has moved to temporary quarters in 401
Academy St., where it will operate until returning to enhanced
facilities in the fall.
The Review offices closed after publishing last week's final
issue of the semester, and its new facilities also will be ready for
operation this fall.
According to Miller, renovation work will begin in earnest
immediately after the Memorial Day holiday, May 27, when the entire
building will be closed, except for the University Bookstore and
Center for Counseling and Student Development, which will remain open.
While the Scrounge and Dining Services operations, plus the areas
housing The Review and WVUD, will reopen in the fall, the east side of
the building, plus the second and third floors, will be completed by
the spring of 1997.
