Benefits period
The Flexible Benefits enrollment period continues through May 17.
During this time, employees may change their insurance benefits or
enroll in a Flexible Spending Account for the new plan year, beginning
July 1. Simply call FLEX BY PHONE-831-3331-from 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
A health benefits supplement was included in the May 2 issue of
UpDate.

Mother's brunch
The Blue & Gold Club will offer a Mother's Day brunch from 10:30
a.m.-2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 12. The buffet is $14.95 for adults, $7.95
for children 5-11 and free for children under 5. A 12 percent service
charge is included.
Call 831-2582 for details, reservations or a membership
application.
Memorial Day
Newark Memorial Day ceremonies will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday,
May 19, on the Mall.
The parade, down Main Street, will begin at 2 p.m.
A Memorial Concert will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, May 18, in
the parking lot of the Academy Building. The program will feature
nostalgic big band music.
The events are sponsored by the Newark Memorial Day Committee and
Newark Business Association.

Students are able to access their room assignment information for
1996-97 on line through SIS+ Personal Access on the World Wide Web.
Yellow posters, hanging in each residence hall, provide
instructions.
Farewell events
Richard "Dick" Fowler, Cooperative Extension, will be honored on
the occasion of his retirement at two family picnics. The first will
be from 5:30-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, on the lawn in front of
Townsend Hall in Newark.
Friends also may visit him from 5:30-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, in
the grove at the Research and Education Center in Georgetown.
Cost of each picnic is $15 for adults and $10 for children.

Gordon Bonner, finance, will be honored at a farewell reception
from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, in the University Center.

Library hours
University library hours from May 10-24 are 8 a.m.-midnight,
Mondays-Thursdays; 8 a.m.-10 p.m., Fridays; 9 a.m.-10 p.m., Saturdays;
11 a.m.-midnight, Sundays; and 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday, May 24, the day
examinations end.
