Computer Warehouse to move
A computer department to replace the Computer Warehouse will be a
major part of this summer's renovation of the lower level of the
University Bookstore.
According to bookstore director Paul Hanke, the new department
will make computer hardware and software and related equipment more
accessible to University students, faculty and staff.
The bookstore renovations are expected to be completed by mid-
August, with the new department in operation for the new academic
year.
Before the opening, the Computer Warehouse will continue to
process orders from students, faculty and staff at its current
location in the General Services Building, 222 South Chapel St. For
information on the warehouse, call William Fitzpatrick at 831-1206.
Beginning July 1, all departmental orders for computers and
related equipment should be referred to the Purchasing Department,
using standard University forms-POWCs for purchases under $500 and
electronic purchase requisitions for purchases over $500. For
information on departmental orders, call Tommie Goodgames at 831-2165.
For assistance with special equipment needs, departments should
direct inquiries to the Technology Solutions Center in Smith Hall at
831-8895.
