Class gift supports Alumni Park

Members of the Class of 1996 will continue a tradition
established by the Class of 1983 and contribute a class gift to the
University. The gift this year will be designated for improvements to
Alumni Park.
Originally established at the corner of South College and
Delaware avenues, that area has now become part of the new University
Center. Therefore, a new Alumni Park will be created on the knoll,
between the center and the Victorian houses on Delaware Avenue, just
west of the old location.
Contributions from members of the Class of 1996 will be used for
landscaping and benches. A permanent plaque will be placed in the
park, recognizing the Class of 1996's generosity and commitment to the
University.
To make a donation, class members should complete an information
card, which will be available from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., May 6-9, at the
Class of '96 Information Booth in the University Center.
Those who contribute $10 or more will receive a complimentary T-
shirt and a listing in the Commencement program.
For additional information, call Don Easterling, University
development, at 831-2104; Christine Cook, University relations, at 831-
8741; or Jennifer Whelan, senior class president, at 369-9479.
