United Way honors David Roselle
President David P. Roselle was among 10 individuals honored by
the United Way of Delaware at its fifth annual Appreciation for
Personal Excellence in Volunteerism (APEX) Award dinner in April.
Roselle, together with A. Keith Willard, chairperson of Zeneca
Inc., and John A. Krol, chief executive officer of the DuPont Co.,
received a Pioneer Award, given to executives who foster United Way of
Delaware involvement among their employees and peers for both
donations and volunteerism.
According to the United Way, Roselle has boosted the University
of Delaware's traditionally successful campaign by personally and
publicly endorsing the campaign and encouraging senior staff to
participate at leadership levels on the Campaign Cabinet.
He led the University committee to develop a campaign model used
as an example throughout the 1995 campaign, and he has supported
participation in Days of Caring activities when employees could
volunteer at member agencies during the business day.
