About 11:45 a.m., Monday, April 29, a piece of the facade near
the northeast corner of the University of Delaware Hugh M. Morris
Library separated itself from the building and fell to the ground.
No one was hurt. The area was immediately closed, and the library
was evacuated. When the area was secured, the library reopened, about
1:15 p.m.
The University is currently working with structural engineers to
determine an appropriate plan of action, for now and for the long
term.
