Disney management program to be offered Nov. 1

Lately, Disney has been packing up its unique brand of magic and
personally delivering it to cities all over the globe. For starters,
there's The Disney Store. There's also Disney on Ice. Now, comes a
glimpse at a side of Disney that most people never get to see. The
business side.
Disney University Professional Development Programs is bringing
"The Disney Keys to Service Excellence" to Delaware for an exclusive
one-day presentation to business professionals. The two key components
of the presentation focus on management and service, Disney style.
"The Disney Keys to Service Excellence" will be presented by
Disney University Professional Development Programs in Newark,
beginning at 7 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Clayton Hall.
Disney University Professional Development Programs has hosted
seminars at the Walt Disney World Resort for thousands of business
professionals over the past 10 years. Each of these seminars takes
participants behind the scenes to see how a renowned industry leader
provides exceptional service to guests day after day after day.
This is the first time that a presentation of "The Disney Keys to
Service Excellence" has been offered "off-property" to the Delaware
business community.
Management of the Walt Disney World Resort involves theme parks,
resorts, merchandise locations, restaurants, utilities and
maintenance.
The successful operation of these diverse areas depends on the
effective management of over 35,000 cast members (Disney parlance for
employees). The program provides insight into the elements of
selection, training, communication and care that make up the Disney
corporate culture.
"Service, Disney Style" explains what it takes to provide the
level of service that distinguishes a successful business from an
industry leader and is the inside story of service strategies
developed at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Showcasing how Disney's unique style of management and service
can be adopted in other organizations is a key part of the program.
The strategies can be used in any workplace, regardless of the type of
industry or size of organization.
Program cost is $175 per participant ($150 for members,
affiliates and employees of sponsoring organizations).
