Computer virus alert

A new type of virus has been created that can infect data files.
Called "WinWord.Concept" or "Word prank macro virus," it uses the
macro capabilities of Microsoft Word 6.0 to propagate itself. It
affects Word 6.0 for Macintosh, Windows 3.1, Windows NT and Windows
'95.
The virus does NOT cause data loss or corruption of any data
files other than a few Microsoft Word macro files.
You can find information about detecting the virus and
disinfecting affected systems through U-Discover! or on the
University's Web server at this URL: http://www.udel.edu/richard/TH/.
On U-Discover!, go to the Computing and Technology directory, select
the subdirectory called TechHelp Announcements and open the file
"Microsoft Word Virus Alert."
