'Wow, I never won anything before!'

* "I entered a friend in the contest to receive a phone call from
  Fabio," junior Kurt Grelak, said.

* "I won $50 on www.riddler.com in 'The Tortoise and the Hare
  contest,'" Clyde Robinson, education resource center, said.

* Pat Musa, physics and astronomy, has not entered any contests over
  the Web. "But, I regularly play duplicate bridge online, with a
  partner who lives in England, and opponents from all over the world.

  Internet Bridge Club, called 'OKBridge' at http://www.okbridge.com."

* Senior David Etue reports that he won a CD from the Geffen Web site
  for filling out a questionnaire. Etue adds that "A student group I
  belong to, the Business and Economics Student Advisory Board, is
  currently sponsoring a contest, open to any student in the College
  of Business and Economics."

* "I moved up from 53,706th place to finish in 6,308th place in ESPN's
  NCAA men's basketball pool," Richard Gordon, user services, said.

* Senior Chuck Hudson enters Web contests for fun and profit. "I'm a
  finance major, so I am in several stock market contests. And, I did
  O.K. in some of the NCAA men's basketball contests on the Web."

* "I'm in the process of winning a trip to Maui," junior Bill Fanjoy
  said.
