Exercise
Fitness isn't just about intense aerobic workouts accompanied by
loud dance music. It's also about gentle stretching and relaxation
accompanied by soft, tranquil sounds.
Whether you're looking to improve your fitness level through
aerobic dance or reduce your stress level through yoga and meditation,
you can find an appropriate class through the University's wide range
of fitness programs.
Students, faculty, staff, alumni and spouses are eligible to
attend fitness classes, which are scheduled for five to six weeks, and
are offered seven times a year. A nominal fee pays for trained

Diet
Besides physical activity, nutrition and diet are important
elements to a healthy lifestyle. The Web site for the Department of
Nutrition and Dietetics offers links to Internet resources for
nutrition.
For example, you can link to "The 'Virtual' Nutrition Center,"
which offers information about dietary topics such as fat and
cholesterol levels and child and adolescent nutrition.
Or, you can check out the questions sent to "Ask the Dietician,"
a question-and-answer site, supported by Joanne Larsen, M.S.,R.D.
Questions range from the effects of caffeine to the differences
between sugar and artificial sweeteners.
