Awards dinner
     The 1996 Men's and Women's Basketball Awards Dinner will be held
Monday, April 8, at the Bob Carpenter Center.
     A reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30
p.m.
     The guest speaker is Chuck Daley, commentator for TNT basketball.
Tickets are $50 each, and reservations must be made by noon, Friday,
April 5.

After Five Club
     The Newark After Five Club, sponsored by Christian business and
professional women, is holding a dinner meeting at 6:30 p.m., Monday,
April 15, at the Christiana Hilton Inn, where the focus is Stamp Out
Drabness.
     The evening will feature decorative stamping techniques by Kathy
Whetzel, music by Stacey Lumly and a presentation by Joann Shore.
     Cost is $12 per person. Reservations are due by April 10.

Easter brunch
     An Easter Brunch will be held at the Blue & Gold Club from 10:30
a.m.-2:30 p.m, Sunday, April 7. The buffet is $14.95 for adults, $7.95
for children 5-11 and free for children under 5. A 12 percent service
charge is included.

Hunt for eggs
     Zeta Phi Beta sorority is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt at 4
p.m., Saturday, April 6, near the Pencader Residence Hall Complex.
Registration begins at 3:15 p.m.
     The participant who finds the most eggs will win 50 percent of
the registration fees.
     Cost is $1 per person.

Virden Center
     Enjoy the beach during spring at the Virden Center in Lewes.
     Special rates of $40 per room per night (two-night minimum during
weekends) are available from March 22-May 30.
     Summer reservations also are being taken. For information or

Car wash
     Members of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity and Kappa Delta sorority
will sponsor a car wash on Sunday, April 14, to benefit the Arthritis
Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House.
     The event will begin at 11 a.m. at Newark High School. Cars will
be washed for $5.

HRIM meeting
     Students and faculty of the Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional
Management Program will hold an informational meeting for interested
students at 5 p.m., Monday, April 15, in the Rodney Room of the
Perkins Student Center.

Cheerleading
     Cheerleading tryouts will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, April 12, in
Peason Hall gymnasium. Tryouts will continue April 13-14 in the
Carpenter Sports Building.

Summer work
     Students hired for Summer New Student Orientation are employed
from June 13-July 25. In order to help provide employment throughout
the summer, any campus office interested in hiring these students
