Orientation workers
     The Office of Admissions is recruiting undergraduate students to
work as assistants during New Student Orientation this summer. Those
selected will help new students and parents learn about the University
and what it has to offer.
     Applicants must be full-time undergraduates and have a minimum
2.0 grade point average.
     Applications are available in the Office of Admissions, 116
Hullihen Hall, the New Student Orientation Office, 188 Orchard Rd.,
and the Visitor's Center, 196 South College Ave. The deadline is April
5.

Investment club
     The Blue Hen Investment Club will hold an information session at
5:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, in 115 Purnell Hall. All undergraduate
and graduate students in the College of Business and Economics are
invited to attend.

St. Pat's at B&G
     The Blue & Gold Club will celebrate St. Patrick's Weekend,
featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres and Happy Hour prices, from
4:30-8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, March 15-16.

Poetry reading
     Poet Elba Sanchez will read from her works at 7:30 p.m.,
Thursday, March 21, in 110 of Memorial Hall.
     Born in Mexico, Sanchez grew up in San Francisco and Santa Cruz
and now teaches Chicano Literature, creative writing and other courses
in Spanish at the University of California at Santa Cruz, where she
also coordinates a Spanish speakers' program.
     Sanchez was the founding coeditor of Revista Mujeres and edited
two chapbooks, From Silence to Howl and Lenguas Sueltas: Poesia,
featuring the works of her students and celebrated Chicano writers.


Intramural sports
     Late spring sports registration for softball, coed indoor soccer,
inner-tube water polo, outdoor volleyball, tennis and golf will take
place from 8 a.m.-4 p.m, Monday-Friday, March 18-22, in the Carpenter
Sports Building lobby.
     Cost for individual sports is $5. Team sport cost is $25.
