Color printing from UNIX

     Employees can print color PostScript files from the central Unix
system to either of the following printers:

QMS Colorscript 100
     This printer-for paper or transparency output-is located in the
Smith Hall I/O Services area. To print a transparency, call I/O (831-
1152) before you send a transparency file.
     Paper output costs 50 cents per page; transparency output costs
$1.50 per page.
     To print a color PostScript file on paper, type the following
command:
          printcolor filename
     After calling I/O Services, to print a color PostScript file on
an overhead transparency, type the following command:
          printcolor -f trans filename

HP Design Jet 650C color plotter
     This printer is currently in a testing mode and output is free.
However, beginning April 1, a $2-per-running-foot charge will be
implemented.
     To print a color PostScript file, type the following command:
          qpr -q smicoljet filename
     The maximum print area is 34-by-44 inches. Files larger than 20MB
cannot be printed.
