Weight loss is good investment

Feeling like a new person and 10 pounds lighter, Donna Rieg said
she considers a good investment the Wellness Dollars she spent on a
weight management program taught by Marianne Carter, a registered
dietician.
The six-week course, which costs $35 Wellness Dollars, will be
offered again this spring. The course approaches weight management
from different angles, discussing such topics as a low-fat diet,
exercise, behavior modification and changing recipes.
"There are no 'weigh-ins,' and the emphasis is on moderation, not
starvation," Carter explained.
Rieg, who works in heating and cooling, a part of Facilities
Management, watches what she eats and exercises at the Employee
Fitness Center and at home.
"I feel 100 percent better than before, with much more energy.
Just watch out when I lose 20 more pounds!" she said.
