PNC gift

     At a February luncheon marking a gift from PNC Bank to the
College of Business and Economics are (from left) UD President David
P. Roselle; Kenneth R. Biederman, dean of the college; Calvert Morgan,
PNC president, chairperson and CEO; and Charles M. Forbes, vice
president for development and alumni relations. The $50,000 gift is a
contribution toward the new addition for the college and renovation of
its existing home, Purnell Hall. The total project cost is $15
million, with $11 million coming from the state of Delaware and $4
million from private donations. According to Biederman, "This support
from PNC Bank is a tangible indication of the links between the
college and the Delaware business community. We are grateful for PNC
Bank's interest in the future of the college, as demonstrated by this
generous gift to our building fund."
