ADD programs begin on Friday
Students with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) are invited to a
series of meetings to share experiences informally with others.
The original schedule of meetings has been adjusted because of
last month's snowstorm. The first session of the semester will be held
on Friday, March 8, in 116 Purnell Hall.
Sign in begins at 7 p.m., discussion will begin at 7:30 p.m. and
pizza and refreshments will be served at 9 p.m.
The ADD Network will meet monthly on Fridays. The first session's
topic is "I Can't Get There From Here: Dealing With Expectations,
Frustration and Dreams."
Other meetings and topics include April 12, "It's in There
Somewhere: Capturing Your Specific Strengths"; April 26, "Why Try
Harder: Finding Motivation and Self-Advocacy"; and May 10, "Seeing the
Future: One Step at a Time."
A parallel group has been formed for parents, who will meet at
the same time as the young adult group.

Know Where Your Children Are? Understanding the Mix of Expectations,
Confusion and Dreams"; April 12, "Tell Me a Story and I'll Draw You a
Picture: Helping Young Adults Express What They Know"; April 26,
