Family night
     The Newark Symphony Orchestra will hold its first annual Family
Night at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, March 10, in the Loudis Recital Hall of
the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.
     Tickets are available at the door at $10 for general admission,
$8 for senior citizens and $6 for students. Children and youth
accompanied by a parent will receive a $3 reduction on their tickets.

Purim celebration
     A Megillah reading and social gathering will occur at "Planet
Hillelwood" (also known as the Hillel Student Center), at 7 p.m.,
Monday, March 4.
     All members of the University community are invited to
participate in the  annual celebration. Admission is $1. For

Prime Rib Night
     The Blue & Gold Club will feature a Prime Rib Night from 5-8
p.m., Thursday, March 7. Other entree selections will include turkey
breast, rice-stuffed chicken and linguine primavera.
     The buffet is $14.95 for adults, $7.95 for children 5-11 and free
for children under 5.

Model tryouts
     The Fashion Group is holding student model tryouts at 6:30 p.m.,
Monday, March 11, in 202 Alison Hall, for a fashion show, entitled
"Reflections," to be presented May 4.

AAUW book sale
     The Wilmington branch of the American Association of University
Women (AAUW) will hold its Dollars for Scholars annual book sale at
the Concord Mall from 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Thursday-Saturday, March 7-9,
and from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday, March 10.
     The sale will feature 50,000 books, including hard-to-find sets,
art collections, sheet music and 78 RPM records in excellent
condition.
     Proceeds of the sale will benefit the branch's scholarship fund
and AAUW's national fellowship foundation.
     Among the Wilmington branch scholarships awarded each year is the
Mather-Smyth scholarship, established in 1915 by the Delaware
Association of College Women, which became a part of AAUW in 1923.
