Attention; International visitors!
All non-resident, alien visitors to the University are reminded
that they must hold a J-1 visa if they are to be paid an honoraria, in
accordance with Immigration and Naturalization Service and Internal
Revenue Service regulations, effective Feb. 15.
B-1 and W/B (tourist for business) visa holders are no longer
eligible for payment of honoraria. Those holding W/B visas may be paid
for actual travel and living expenses only.
B-2 (tourist for pleasure) visa holders are prohibited from
receiving any type of compensation, expense payment or reimbursement,
including lodging or travel tickets.
