'Voicelite' now available for faculty, staff phones

     What's a Voicelite? It's a small red light that, when attached to
your telephone, flashes if you have new voice mail messages.
Voicelites are compatible with single- and multi-line telephones. A
multi-line telephone with three lines having voice mail on each line
requires three Voicelites.
     For single-line telephones, a Voicelite takes only a few minutes
to install by yourself: just follow the accompanying instructions. For
multi-line telephones, a technician ($40 per hour) must install the
Voicelite, with installation usually requiring 30 minutes or more.
     Each Voicelite costs $25. There is no monthly fee for the
service.
     Voicelite checks for messages
        - two minutes after you hang up, accounting for messages
          received or cleared while the phone was in use;
        - two minutes after the last ring, provided there was no
          answer; and
        - approximately every 15 minutes, accounting for messages
          received within the voice mail system or cleared from a
          remote location.
