Nursing graduates

     The College of Nursing graduated 22 students in its Accelerated
Second Degree Program at the January 1996 Commencement.
     The accelerated curriculum is highly structured.
     In a 13-month period, these students completed two-and-one-half
years of nursing courses by taking courses during Winter Session, two
summer sessions and spring and fall semesters.
     Lecture courses are offered on videotape with specially designed
discussion sections.
     Of the 24 students who graduated from the first accelerated
program in January 1995, 23 successfully passed the registered nurse
license examination.
