Grant information available

     The Delaware Research Partnership (DRP) matches grants or
contracts from private industry to conduct cooperative research with
the University of Delaware. In anticipation of a fiscal year 1997
appropriation, the Office of the Vice President for Research is
requesting preproposals from University researchers.
     Established in 1984, DRP's goal is to attract high-technology
research facilities and industries to locate in the state and to
enhance existing facilities, in such areas as advanced materials,
bioscience and information technology. Preproposals should be one page
for each research idea. No more than two projects or a total of
$100,000 in state funds will be approved.
     The deadline for preproposals is March 6. Application
instructions and required preproposal format are available from the
