University Press will continue

Due to the generosity of a private donor, the University of
Delaware Press will continue its operations for the foreseeable future
and will not cease publishing, as was reported last spring, Jay Halio,
chairperson of the board of editors of the University Press,
announced.
According to Halio, the press will publish the same quality and
quantity of books each year as it has done for the past 20 years, when
it was reorganized and became a member of the Associated University
Presses consortium.
Associated University Presses will continue to be responsible for
copyediting manuscripts, producing all titles and publicizing and
distributing books, bearing full costs as it has done in the past.
The editorial board of the University of Delaware Press will
review all manuscripts submitted after evaluations by external
readers, selected by the chairperson of the editorial board, in
consultation with members of the board or with other members of the
faculty. Books approved by the editorial board for publication will
continue to bear the University of Delaware imprint.
University Press books are on display in the foyer of the Morris
Library. They may be purchased from the UD Bookstore, or by ordering
directly from Associated University Presses, 440 Forsgate Drive,
Cranbury, NJ 08512.
