Library lunch series high-tech

     The University of Delaware Library is sponsoring an Electronic
Information Lunch Series from noon-1 p.m., Wednesdays, Sept. 13 and
20, Oct. 11 and 25, and Nov. 8 and 15 in the Class of 1941 Lecture
Room of the Morris Library.
     The brown-bag series is open to the campus community, and
participants may attend any or all of the sessions. No reservations
are necessary. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
     Scheduled are:
        * Sept. 13 "Cinemania and Other Filmographic Resources," a
          look at  locators of information on feature and educational
          films and videos, with Francis Poole, library media
          services;
        * Sept. 20 "Going Places," an Internet tour of cities, states
          and foreign countries, with Rebecca Knight, reference
          department;
        * Oct. 11 "To Your Health!" finding health information using
          the CINAHL index and selected Internet resources, with
          Demaris Hollembeak, reference department;
        * Oct. 25 "American Memory," a tour of photographs, motion
          pictures and manuscripts from the Library of Congress'
          National Digital Library, with David Langenberg, reference
          department;
        * Nov. 8 "Food on the Table," World Wide Web sources about
          producing, selling, eating and enjoying all types of food,
          with Frederick Getze, branch libraries department; and
        * Nov. 15 "Music on the Web," sites on the World Wide Web that
          feature information on all types of music from bluegrass to
          jazz, highlighting bulletin boards, discussion groups and
          information resources, with Thomas Melvin, reference
          department.
