Personal approach to clients:
"I have worked in the field of social work for almost 30 years.
It is wonderful to witness the strength of individuals. My approach to
my client is one of respect and acceptance of each person as a unique
individual. It is my hope and commitment to have mental illness viewed
as any other illness, and for individuals to not feel ashamed or
stigmatized because they have received counseling. One of my goals is
to have the University community seek the services of FSAP as a
preventative measure, as individuals regularly visit their general
practitioner or eye doctor."

Most satisfying experience:
"I have been honored by many individuals who have been able to
turn their lives around. One client, in particular, comes to mind. He
had two or three classes to complete in order to obtain his degree. He
didn't think that he could do it. In May of 1995, I was a guest at his
graduation party."
