Fightin' Blue Hens to be honored

     The Fightin' Blue Hens football team has been selected for the
Lambert/Meadowlands Award for excellence by the Eastern Collegiate
Athletic Conference.
     This is the 15th time the team has won the annual award, which
was established in 1957.
     The award will be presented Feb. 15 at the Eastern College
Football Awards Banquet, to be held in the Stadium Club at Giants
Stadium in New Jersey.
     Other institutions from the East that will be recognized that
evening are Virginia Tech (I-A), the University of New Haven (II) and
Rowan College (III).
     In addition to the Lambert/ Meadowlands Awards, the ECAC Team and
Player of the Year, Metropolitan Football Writers and the Yankee, Ivy
and Patriot League awards will be presented.
