Video available on lead threat

One child in 11 in America has a high level of lead in his or her
blood, making it the number one environmental health threat for
children. To help educate the public about lead poisoning, the
National Safety Council is making an educational video available
through 3,200 Blockbuster video stores nationwide.
The video, Lead Poisoning Prevention: A Parent's Guide, provides
background information and practical advice for parents on what to do
to prevent lead poisoning. Available to the public free of charge, the
18-minute tape discusses identifying lead problems, reducing lead dust
in the home, painting or remodeling safely and protecting against lead
in water, soil and ceramics.
The video refers viewers to the National Safety Council's Lead
Information Center, at 1-800-424-LEAD, for additional information.
Produced by Bob Sinrod at Filmcraft Inc., the video is being
offered by Blockbuster Entertainment Corp. as part of its Community
Services program.
