4-H programs for children, adults
Cooperative Extension will offer a number of workshops during the
next few months for children ages 8 and up, as well as Cloverbud
activities for ages 5-7, plus a few workshops for adults.
Workshops scheduled include:
* "Surfin' the Net" (adults only), 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Jan.
20, or 7-10 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24;
* "Environmental Management Satellite Downlink," 11:30 a.m.-
5:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27;
* "Teen Financial Planning," 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Feb. 10;
* "Shooting Sports," 9 a.m.-noon, Saturdays Feb. 10 and 17;
* "Breads," 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Feb. 17;
* "Child Care/Babysitting," 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17;
* "G-Street Fabrics Tour" in Washington, D.C., bus departure
at 8 a.m., Saturday, March 9;
* "Cloverbud Fun Day," 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday, April 9; and
* "Entomology," 9 a.m.-noon, Thursday, April 11.
All of the workshops will take place at the new office at 910
South Chapel St. in Newark, except for "Shooting Sports," which will
be taught at the Ommelanden Shooting Range on Rt. 9 in New Castle.
Registration is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-
served basis.
