Weight control
The University's Wellness Program is starting a weight management
support group for UD employees who have participated in its weight
management programs in the past.
The group will meet twice a month, from 12:15-12:45 p.m.,
Thursdays, from Jan. 11-May 16, in Alison Hall.
Attendance is required at the first session on Jan. 11, in Room
236 Alison Hall, to assess interest and plan discussion topics.
Employees may elect to attend any or all of the 10 sessions. Cost is 5
Wellness Dollars (or $5) for each session.

Help needed
The International High School Program, associated with World
Learning, is hosting two male exchange students, one from Belgium and
one from Thailand, during the balance of the academic year.
Due to a serious family crisis, the original host family is
unable to fulfill its commitment, and the organization is seeking
assistance in placing the students.
The visiting students have their own insurance and spending
money. The host family is required to provide a living site, moral
support and some meals.

Library hours
Morris Library Winter Session hours are 8 a.m.-10 p.m., Mondays-
Thursdays; 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Fridays; 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturdays; and 11
a.m.-10 p.m., Sundays.
The Morris Library will be open, with service desks staffed, from
8 a.m.-10 p.m., Monday, Jan. 15, the holiday honoring Martin Luther
King Jr. Special Collections will be open that day from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
The agriculture, chemistry, marine studies and physics branch
libraries will be closed on Jan. 15.
Shuttle service
The Washington, D.C., shuttle to the Library of Congress and the
Folger will operate during Winter Session beginning Friday, Jan. 5.
The shuttle is available to faculty and graduate students.
Reservations must be made in advance by calling Darlene Reynolds or
Pat Beazley, English, at 831-2361, by noon each Thursday.
Purchase orders
Purchasing will not mail paper copies of purchase orders to
departments.
All purchase order information is available online on the MVS
administrative mainframe.
To obtain purchasing query access, send a completed copy of the
request form located on the "Forms" Bulletin Board in the EMC2 mail
system.

Seafood buffet
Make plans to sample the sumptuous seafood specialties at the
Blue and Gold Club from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11. Cost is $17.95
for adults, $9.95 for children 5-11 and free for children under 5. A
12 percent service charge is included.
The club will be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday,
Jan. 15. Regular hours of operation will resume at 11:30 a.m.,
Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Basketball nights
The men's and women's basketball teams are offering special
ticket discounts to members of the University community for two
upcoming games.
The Bob Carpenter Center box office is offering two free tickets
to the women's game against the University of Vermont on Jan. 21, and
a buy-one, get-one-free offer for the men's game against the
University of Maine on Feb. 9.
Individuals who are interested in participating in the Community
Shootout at halftime of the Jan. 21 game should send back the form to
indicate their interest.
