Library lunchtime series set
The University Library will offer six lunchtime, brown-bag
programs during the spring 1996 semester. The sessions will feature
presentations about information resources available on the Internet's
World Wide Web and will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Class of
1941 Lecture Room in the Morris Library.
The campus community is invited to attend any or all of the
sessions. Reservations are not necessary. Seating is available on a
first-come, first-served basis.
The schedule includes:
* Sports Sites on the Web, Feb. 20-Explore some of the most
interesting sports sites, with an emphasis on collegiate
athletics. Host: Edward Adams Jr., Reference Department.
* Traveling the Mid-Atlantic Region, Feb. 27-An Internet tour of
local areas, including metro information, tickets and museum
exhibition schedules. Host: Catherine Wojewodzki, Reference
Department.
* Get Wired, Get Hired!, March 12-Explore some of the most
interesting job hunting and career resources available, as well
as important resources at the UD. Host: Patricia Arnott,
Reference Department.
* Electronic Dust: Archives on the Internet, March 19-Explore the
Internet "attic" with some of the many manuscripts and archival
collections at repositories around the world and attend
exhibitions on the World Wide Web. Host: L. Rebecca Johnson
Melvin, Special Collections Department.
* Extending the Limits of the Web, April 16-Visit landCams,
seaCams, skyCams and pirahnaCams. Request up-to-the-minute
photos of the Berlin railroad or generate your own fractals.
Explore live Web animation and other cutting-edge Web
technology with "Java" and other trailblazing sites on the Web.

* Television on the Web, April 23-Tour various Web sites that
feature information on television shows from daytime to late-
night. Host: Erin Daix, Reference Department.
