It is the caucus' primary goal to advocate for the well-being of these communities as they are affected by University policies and procedures, as well as to promote the acceptance of diversity and multiculturalism of all minority and under-represented groups on the campus. An annual report is issued on the status of women at the University, and the commission makes recommendations for changes in policies, programs, procedures and hiring practices to achieve equity for women. The main purpose of the office and the organization is to integrate foreign students into U.S. culture and, at the same time, help educate students to the many cultures that are represented on the UD campus. The ultimate goal is to assist both populations to live and work together in harmony.
