Coach of the year

     Harold "Tubby" Raymond was named NCAA I-AA Region 1 Coach of the
Year by the American Football Coaches Association. He also marked his
250th victory as head coach of the Fightin' Blue Hens with Saturday's
38-17 Division I-AA tournament win over Hofstra University. That
victory advanced Delaware into the quarterfinal game Saturday against
the Cowboys of McNeese State at Lake Charles, La. The game will be
broadcast on WDEL radio, 1150 am, and on TCI-2 Cablevision, beginning
at 7:30 p.m. Kickoff is at 8 p.m.
