Network conference

     University Media Services hosted the annual Network Engineers
Conference for the National Technology University (NTU), Nov. 9-10, in
the Pearson Hall ITV studios.
     This year marks the 10th anniversary of the national consortium
of 47 institutions that provides satellite-based distance education in
a dozen different degree programs.
     Delaware faculty members have provided graduate chemical,
electrical and mechanical engineering courses to NTU for several years
through both live and pretaped uplinked broadcasts.
     The conference focused on the technical personnel that make the
operations work.
     University Media Services participants included Lonnie Hearn,
Hans Gass, Mike Tate, Bill Start and Al Engberg.
