Get tips to avoid weight gain
The holidays are coming, and you can feel the excitement. It's a
season for sharing meals with friends and preparing traditional foods.
Most holiday social activities revolve around food, and all too often
overindulgence can easily become the norm. Subsequently, many
individuals gain between five and 10 pounds during the period between
Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.
If you're tired of using weight loss as a New Year's resolution,
consider preventing that unwanted weight gain. It is possible to enjoy
holiday fare and still maintain your pre-holiday weight.
Specific strategies will be outlined at the Employee Wellness
program entitled "Holiday Survival."
The program will be repeated from 12:10-12:50 p.m. on two
different Fridays-Nov. 17 and Dec. 8-in the Blue and Gold Room of the
Perkins Student Center.
The cost is 10 Wellness Dollars. Registration is available at the
door, or call 831-8729 to make a reservation.
