Klaus H. Theopold AAAS fellow
Klaus H. Theopold, chemistry and biochemistry, has been elected a
fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Each year, the council elects members "whose efforts on behalf of the
advancement of science or its applications are scientifically or
socially distinguished."
Theopold was selected for his research in organometallic
chemistry of semiconductor precursors, catalytically active and
magnetically unusual coordinatively unsaturated clusters and the
stabilization of atypical coordination numbers and geometries.
He will be recognized at the AAAS Fellows Forum in Baltimore next
February, when he will receive a certificate and medal.
AAAS fellows have been recognized since 1874.
