     Rivers Singleton, biology, chaired a session on "Studies in the
     History of Biochemistry" at the biennial meeting, International
     Society for the History, Philosophy and Social Studies of
     Biology, July 19-23, Leuven, Belgium, and spent several days
     working in the research archives of papers of Dutch
     microbiologist/biochemist A.J. Kluyver, at Technical University

     Barry Morstain, urban affairs and public policy, was appointed to

     Ruth Horowitz, sociology and criminal justice, received the
     Charles Horton Cooley Award from the Society for the Study of
