Fellowship fund
     Mrs. Mildred Dolan, widow of University Prof. Paul Dolan, died
recently, and the Dolan family asks persons interested in making
contributions to the Dolan Undergraduate Fellowship Fund to send them
to the Gift Processing Office.

Intramural sports
     Registration for the late fall intramural sports of volleyball,
street hockey, one-on-one basketball, table tennis and 5K series run
will occur on a first-come, first-served basis from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.,
Oct. 17-21, in 101-A Carpenter Sports Building.

Festival of Nations
     The Cosmopolitan Club will sponsor a Festival of Nations from 1-5
p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, in the Rodney Room of the Perkins Student
Center. The event will feature booths, highlighting countries from
around the world, containing clothing, food and photographs. There
also will be demonstrations of games, dances and traditions.

Homework seminar
     Marcia Tietbohl, psychology practicum student, will address
parents with children in the College School on "Getting Homework Done"
at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1, in 311 of the Willard Hall Education
Building. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Space Activities Day
     Delaware Space Activities Day, from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.,
Saturday, Nov. 5, on the Newark campus will feature a series of
presentations, laboratory visits and demonstrations describing
graduate research and fellowship opportunities at the University of
Delaware and undergraduate research internships at consortia
institutions.
     Registration is $5. Advanced registration is required and must be
made no later than Monday, Oct. 31. For information, call 831-8116.

Canceling housing
     All students currently residing on campus who will be away for
spring semester, must cancel, in writing, their Academic Year Student
Housing Agreement before Dec. 16 or be billed $100 for late
cancellation.

Homecoming 5K
     The fourth annual Campus-Run-Around run/walk begins at 9:30 a.m.,
Saturday, Oct. 22, at 47 Kent Way, the President's House.
     All participants will receive a race T-shirt and are eligible to
win random prizes. Individuals may register in person at the Carpenter
Sports Building, or call 831-1437 to receive a race application via
campus mail. Entry fee is $10, or employees may use "wellness
dollars."

Testicular self-exams
     Brent Thompson, assistant professor of nursing, will conduct a
seminar on testicular self-examinations from noon-12:30 p.m., Friday,
Oct. 28, in 103 Sharp Laboratory. Employees also may sign up for
individual exams at the Employee Wellness Center. Call 831-8388 for an
appointment.

Water research
     The Delaware Water Resources Center requests proposals for the
State Water Research Institute Program. Projects must address critical
regional or state water problems. Guidelines, including a list of
critical water problems, are available from the Delaware Water
Resources Center at 831-2191.
     Proposals are due by Nov. 11 for the project period June 1, 1995,
to May 31, 1996.

Senior citizens night
     The Blue and Gold Club will have a special senior citizens night
from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, featuring a three-course meal for
$10. Call UD1-CLUB for details.
