Open hearing on smoke-free campus

     The University Faculty Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Smoking Policy
will hold an open hearing at 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, in 007 Willard
Hall Education Building.
     The purpose is to discuss the following proposal:
     The interior of all University-owned buildings, except student
housing and other residential areas, shall be smoke free.
     Furthermore. the unit head of each building, in conjunction with
the assistant director of University plant operations-grounds
division, may designate the exterior area around one or more, but not
all entrances/exits to the building to be non-smoking areas.
     All members of the University community are invited to attend.
