Dean receives honorary degree
Frank B. Murray, dean of the College of Education and H. Rodney
Sharp Professor of Educational Studies and Psychology, was awarded an
honorary doctor of science degree by Heriot-Watt University at a
ceremony July 5 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Cited as a scholar and researcher of "international renown,"
Murray was commended for his research in developmental psychology and
teacher education and for his involvment in bringing about changes in
teacher education in the United States.
The degree was conferred on Murray "in recognition of his
distinction as teacher, researcher, teacher educator and educational
leader."
