United Way planning

     Maxine Colm, vice president for employee relations, speaks to
members of the 1994 United Way Education Division during a recent
meeting. Colm chairs the division, which consists of superintendents
of public and private schools from New Castle and Kent counties. Also
present (clockwise, from her left) are John Cavanaugh, ACE fellow, UD;
Robert Martin, assistant vice president for employee relations, UD;
Shirley Jones, superintendent, New Castle County Vocational-Technical
School District;  Hugh Ferguson, superintendent, Christina School
District; and William Couch Jr., loaned executive, United Way
Education Division. The University's 1994 United Way Campaign is
scheduled from Oct.10-31. A kickoff reception for solicitors will be
held  from 3:30-4:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 10, at the Bob Carpenter
Center.
