UD recognizes its own during National Housekeepers' Week

     Four members of the University's facility management staff who
maintain academic buildings (from left) Christie Durso, Rich Waltman,
Dot Bradley and Anna Holcomb, were among those persons honored during
Building Service Week at an appreciation program Sept. 13 in the
Perkins Student Center.
     Held in conjunction with National Housekeepers Week, which
recognizes professionals who work to "ensure a cleaner, safer and
healthier environment," the program was emceed by John Warren,
assistant director for facilities management, and featured several
speakers, including Maxine Colm, vice president for employee
relations.
     A total of 160 persons was honored.
     Every employee received a certificate and pen with the logo, "You
make a difference." Those employees with outstanding-to-perfect
attendance, and those who had worked for the University for more than
15 years were given special recognition.
     The program ended with refreshments and a time for socializing.
