HUD grant received
The Center for Community Development in the College of Urban
Affairs and Public Policy, directed by Timothy Barnekov, has been
awarded one of the first grants from the Housing and Urban Development
Community Development Work Study Program.
The initial $112,000 grant will provide for two years of support
for four minority graduate students who are working toward degrees in
community and economic development and community management.
Students receiving support under the grant will work as research
assistants in state, county and municipal placements, including
agencies active in community and economic development.
